Client Spotlight: Gabrielle Rodriguez’s Journey with The Full Routine

We recently sat down with Gabrielle Rodriguez, a dedicated member of The Full Routine community, to learn more about her experience with our Pilates classes and how it has impacted her life. Here’s what she had to say:

Q: When did you start coming to TFR?
Gabrielle:
I started coming with Charleen after the new year, but I didn’t start going to TFR mat classes regularly until around April. I got so obsessed that I purchased the membership just after you guys moved to the large studio. That was around the end of May or the beginning of June.

Q: What class types do you take at TFR?
Gabrielle:
I started off doing TFR mat, and then I grew to love the reformer as well. Now, I do about 4-5 mat classes and 2-3 reformer classes a week.

Q: Have you felt a change in your body since starting TFR workouts? If so, can you elaborate?
Gabrielle:
OMG, YES! I used to spin a lot and had horrible back pain. I’ve never had back pain from either mat or reformer classes. If anything, the classes have helped my back. I’ve not only lost inches and weight, but I feel so flexible and strong. I’ve gone from 222 pounds to 178 and lost 4 inches!

Q: Have you felt other changes (mentally, emotionally, etc.)?
Gabrielle:
OMG, YES AGAIN! I feel so confident and strong. I used to hate wearing just a sports bra, and I felt the need to wear a shirt over it to hide my rolls. TFR has created an environment where I no longer feel self-conscious but rather confident and sexy. I’m no longer embarrassed about my body and feel so strong and proud that I can do a workout.

Q: Is there anything unexpected that changed for you due to doing TFR classes that surprised you?
Gabrielle:
I didn’t realize how much of an impact it would have on my confidence and self-esteem. The instructors have become friends of mine and support me so much. I’ve never felt this kind of love and support at a gym or studio before. You guys have really changed my life for the better. I was on the road to morbid obesity, and since going to TFR regularly, I’ve changed that and the trajectory of my life. Thank you so much!

Q: What advice would you give to someone new to TFR?
Gabrielle:
Just keep chugging along. The workouts are hard AF, but you’ll feel so strong and empowered afterward. Keep moving that body to the beat!
